Holland Museum

Project Overview

The Holland Museum was founded in 1937 in Holland, Michigan.  It is host to artifacts relevant to the West Michigan Area, including that of Native Americans, the Netherlands, Holland founders and figureheads, and various other collections from around the world.  It also owns several properties around Holland in preservation of its history.

The Holland Museum’s old website was badly deprecated and was not easy for the museum staff to use.  Their online presence spanned three different platforms, including calendars and blogs from outside the main website.  The home site was difficult for patrons to navigate, and often would link into dead ends.  The major goals of the project were to pull all information into one platform and organize it, create a visually pleasing website according to its new branding, and showcase the collections and events the Museum is host to.
